Electric Shuffle London Bridge is a premium competitive socialising venue designed by Ellis Design Studio — a flagship 8,000 sq ft destination located directly beneath the concourse of London Bridge Station. Set within five historic Victorian brick vault arches, the venue transforms these grand, atmospheric structures into a spectacular multi‑layered experience featuring two show‑stopping bars, ten shuffle table play spaces and a series of vibrant F&B environments.
Following the Studio’s award‑winning work on Electric Shuffle Canary Wharf, this project continues the evolution of the brand’s aesthetic — blending electrical experimentation, transport heritage and Art Deco glamour into a richly conceptual interior.
A Dramatic Setting Beneath London Bridge
The vaulted brick arches of London Bridge Station form the architectural backbone of the venue. The Studio embraced the raw drama of these historic structures, designing an interior that showcases their scale, curvature and texture while introducing a dynamic, contemporary layer of storytelling.
The result is a dramatic, experiential environment that celebrates the building’s Victorian engineering and the energy of one of London’s busiest transport hubs.
Design Concept — Connectivity, Dynamism & the Golden Age of Travel
Electric Shuffle London Bridge draws inspiration from the venue’s location at a major transport interchange. The design explores themes of:
- Connectivity — movement, flow and the rhythm of travel
- Dynamism — the kinetic energy of trains, tunnels and electrical innovation
- Art Deco elegance — referencing the golden age of travel and early 20th‑century concourse architecture
These influences fuse with Electric Shuffle’s electrical‑inspired aesthetic to create a space that feels vibrant, cinematic and full of momentum.
The Main Bar — Light, Movement & Tunnel Geometry
The main bar is conceived as a triptych of arches that regress telescopically into the geometry of the existing brick vault. Inspired by the movement of light through tunnels, the bar blends transport references with Electric Shuffle’s signature Deco‑industrial aesthetic.
Key features include:
- Hand‑painted finishes
- Bespoke wallpapers
- Custom joinery and metalwork
- A sculptural arch composition that echoes the rhythm of the vaults
This bar acts as a glowing centrepiece, anchoring the venue with a sense of drama and architectural precision.
The Second Bar — Sinuous Arches & Railway Grandeur
The second bar stretches between the final two vaults, framed by elongated, sinuous arches that create striking verticality. Its design references the complex arrangements of vaults and arches found in historic railway stations.
Within the illuminated arches, custom chrome hemispheres evoke oversized rivets, while ribbed timber, metal strapping and industrial detailing pay homage to railway engineering. The bar is both sculptural and atmospheric — a contemporary interpretation of transport‑inspired grandeur.
Custom Lighting & Materials — Deco Meets Transport
Throughout the venue, custom lighting and bespoke materials blend Art Deco glamour with transport‑inspired detailing:
- Oversized brass chandeliers reminiscent of grand railway concourse lighting
