A rugged, rustic and democratic social space designed for Wolfpack Lager

Wolfpack is a characterful neighbourhood sports bar in North London, designed by Ellis Design Studio as a bold, tactile and authentic home for the Wolfpack Lager brand. Rooted in the ethos of Blood, Sweat & Beers, the interior reflects the founders’ background as professional rugby players — celebrating team spirit, camaraderie and the raw honesty of sport.

The concept was shaped around the idea of togetherness: a venue for “social animals” to gather, connect and enjoy great beer in a space that feels robust, unpretentious and full of personality.

A Bigger, Bolder Wolfpack

The design challenge set by the Wolfpack team was simple: create a bigger, bolder sibling to their original Queens Park venue. Ellis Design Studio responded by crafting what has become one of West Hampstead’s ultimate neighbourhood bars — a place that attracts locals, sports fans and craft‑beer enthusiasts alike.

The interior is rugged yet refined, layered with industrial textures and handcrafted details that speak to the brand’s authenticity and the physicality of the game.

A Tap Wall Built for Craft Beer Culture

At the heart of the venue is a dramatic feature tap wall, designed with intricate laser‑cut metal detailing. This installation showcases Wolfpack’s extensive craft beer offering and acts as a visual anchor for the space — a proud statement of the brand’s brewing heritage and growing family of beers.

Materiality That Feels Honest, Tactile and Robust

The interior palette blends industrial grit with warm, tactile finishes to create a democratic, welcoming environment. Key elements include:

• Pewter bar top
• Blackened steel and industrial mesh
• Herringbone‑pattern glazed feature tiles
• Leather upholstery
• Marble table tops
• Laser‑cut logos integrated into signage and branding
• Bespoke hand‑applied wall treatments

These materials combine to form a layered, textured and urban aesthetic — a perfect backdrop for Wolfpack’s energetic, community‑driven identity.
